We thank community member, Susan Jones, for the wonderful presidential history collection that she has donated in memory of her husband, Gary Jones. Gary was an avid reader of history, and he loved living in Sandy Mush. Susan is happy to have his collection in our SMCC library for our community to enjoy.

Our SMCC library has an amazing variety of good books, especially for such a small community donation library.  Check it out! You will not be disappointed.  In addition to our history collection, we have a children’s literature section, a new young adult literature section, classics and drama, cookbooks, gardening, fiction, romance and, of course, the high demand mystery section.  There is something for all of you!  No library card necessary.  We are a community honor system.

We are also starting a local history collection, and would greatly appreciate any donations of books pertaining to our local Sandy Mush and Leicester history as well as the broader Buncombe, Haywood, Madison and WNC history.  All donations may be dropped off to our SMCC library during open hours.  We thank you!!

You can also use our library computers, or bring your own, and access our high speed Internet.  Our library open hours are:

Monday-Tuesday 10am-6pm

Wednesday 4pm-8pm

Thursday 2pm-6pm

Our friendly volunteers look forward to seeing you!
