Folk Heritage Smooth Dancers

Thanks to all who helped make our Sandy Mush Mountain Music and Square Dance a great, fun-filled community evening.  We greatly appreciate all our volunteers who invest countless hours in our Sandy Mush community.  A big thanks to Mark and Donna Diaz of Cross Creek Farm for donating 100lbs of grass-fed beef.  That chili was awesome!!  Compliments to the chefs, and to all our fabulous Sandy Mush bakers for the wonderful desserts and cornbread muffins.  Thanks to Judy Miller and Full Sun Farm for cakewalk donations.  For our raffle items, thanks to Peggy and John Loyd, Jones Pottery, Friendswood Brooms, Laurie Brown and Frank Barbara.  We loved the great music of the Stoney Creek Boys and the fun dancing of the Folk Heritage Smooth Dancers and the Green Valley Cloggers, and a big Sandy Mush thanks to Phil Jamison for calling the community dances and helping emcee.  We want to see more of that flatfooting!

We want to share a special thanks to Pam Harrington and Howard and Jewel Bridges who have been coming out to Sandy Mush every Tuesday since September to help teach those who wanted to learn how to square dance and clog.  Their love of dancing shows, and they have been sharing that with us.  We greatly appreciate them!!
