New Opportunity! Craft Thursdays will begin October 17, 10 to 1, in the downstairs community room at SMCC. This time is an opportunity for parents and children to come together and work on crafts they bring from home. Craft Thursdays will be the first and third Thursday of each month.
Beginning Thursday, October 12th from 1 to 4, and continuing until Halloween, the Library Team encourages families to stop by the SMCC Library during open hours and and make a Halloween/Fall bookmark. All supplies will be provided by the library. Check the events calendar for open library hours.
Fall Youth Fun at SMCC!
Monday Playgroup will offer special activities throughout the Fall. All ages are welcome from 10 to 1 each Monday. Activities include games, clubs, crafts, stories, sports and free play in the youth room, gym and outdoors. Special Learning Workshops
Many thanks to the Merrie Mountain Rug Hooking Guild for offering an excellent class for youth 10 years to teens! Special thanks to Lynda Emanshowski for organizing this opportunity!
The next Learning Workshop series will be Science Studies! Principles of science and science learning will be incorporated into hands on learning around water, weather, geology and biology. Activities will be for four years to teens, organized into age groups/levels. All students will keep a nature journal of their studies.
