Hello, plant and flower enthusiasts!
We know how much you’ve been enjoying the “Flowers & Plants of SMCC” series on our Facebook page. From glimpses of the delicious cherry tomatoes in our garden to the majestic hollyhock plant, it’s clear we’re all passionate about the diverse flora thriving at SMCC.
We’ve been on a delightful journey, exploring the rich histories and unique characteristics of our garden residents. From the towering hollyhocks, standing up to 8 feet high with a multitude of blossoms, to the cheerful daisies symbolizing innocence, purity, and new beginnings, each plant has a unique tale to tell.
Remember the fascinating history of the Rozanne Geranium we shared? This plant, discovered in a home garden in Somerset, England, has been charming gardeners worldwide with its hardy nature and profuse, vibrant blue flowers. It’s no wonder it was named the Perennial Plant of the Year in 2008!
But our journey doesn’t stop here. We have so much more to explore and discover. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us on Facebook. Follow the “Flowers & Plants of SMCC” series to stay updated with our latest plant discoveries and gardening adventures.
Your involvement makes our community vibrant. We know many of you have amazing photos of your own gardens and plants. We’d love to feature your photos in our series. Please feel free to share them with us at [email protected].
We are eager to see your photos and hear your stories. Whether you have a personal connection with the Rozanne Geranium or any other plants in our garden, we’re all ears. Let’s continue to learn from each other and let our garden community bloom!
